Irene Tang is a Hong Kong based designer. Grew up surrounded by fabrics and trims, Irene’s parents run a fabric store in Sham Shui Po since the 80s. Having a great sense of style, she loves to patchwork and combine different fabrics and trims since early age. After graduation in Melbourne, Australia, Irene joined her parents’ fabric business in 2000. With her passion in fashion designing and sewing, she decided to diversified the fabric business into accessories business. The freedom to design pushed Irene to develop her own collection of accessories. Launching her own label, IRENE TANG, in 2002. The accessories collection was soon become popular in the local market. Inspired by fast-paced local cultural and social attitudes, IRENE TANG has always been showing a slower approach to aspects of everyday life. Her latest collection “TANGO.UPCYCLE” is about refashion old denim into something new and trendy. Irene and her team are forever proud to wear those who dare to be themselves.
